About Us

Offcut is a line of furniture and home goods designed and built in Chicago IL.  It was created as an offshoot of a busy custom woodworking shop and its constantly growing collection of extra stuff - piles of beautiful hardwood cutoffs and scrap, semi finished furniture pieces, random cool odds and ends that collect in a shop over 20 years.

 

 

Out of this comes an ongoing series of products designed to use and showcase our otherwise underused extras.  Simple, functional designs made with high quality materials and craftsmanship. A constantly changing selection, new pieces released every week depending on what we have to work with.

 

Community Engagement

Offcut hosts semi-regular events at their showroom and workshop in Logan Square. These events are open to the public and are intended to provide affordable and sustainable woodworking activities to the community using our leftover scrap wood. Reach out to be informed of our next event.

 

Local Delivery

We will deliver any item free of charge within the greater Chicagoland area.

 

Shipping 

We will happily package and ship your purchase anywhere in the US.  Shipping methods and costs will vary depending on the specific product, and cost is determined automatically at checkout.  All pieces listed are in stock and ready to ship.

Smaller items - generally less than 18x18x18 in size and under 15 lbs.  These will be carefully boxed and shipped via UPS.  Shipping cost is $15, estimated delivery 7-10 days.

Midsized items - between 15-30 lbs, can vary in size.  These will also be boxed and shipped via UPS, but may come in two packages and require some minor assembly.  For example, a coffee table may have legs removed for safer and less expensive delivery.  We will package and include any hardware needed to reassemble the piece.  Shipping cost is $35, estimated delivery 7-10 days.

Large items - these are heavier or larger dimensioned items that require special shipment - this could be via freight or white glove shipper.  We will work with you directly to determine the best method of delivery.  Shipping cost $250, estimated delivery 2-4 weeks.

 

Returns

We will gladly work with you to return, repair, or replace items that are defective in workmanship or that have been damaged in shipping.
